Much-heralded collective to record sophomore effort next month
With five - yes, five - sold out dates at the National Concert Hall scheduled for next year, The Gloaming have revealed that they'll be arriving there with new material, as their second LP will be released in February.
The as-yet-unrecorded (and so, obviously enough, untitled) album will be the second from the half-Irish, half-American quintet, following on from their self-titled debut, which topped many an end-of-year list in 2014.
Martin Hayes, Dennis Cahill, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Caoimhin Ó Raghallaigh and Thomas Bartlett have been busy boys in the meantime, clocking up some serious mileage on tours all over the world, but are looking at only a short hop to Real World Studios in Wiltshire to record the album.
It hits shelves on February 26; we imagine there's more than a few counting down the days already...
