The gypsy-folksters estimate €8,000 - €9,000 worth of cash and gear was stolen
Dublin gypsy-folksters - and HP faves - The Eskies fell victim to a robbery in Milan yesterday.
While checking out of their hotel in the Italian city, their van was broken into and a bag was stolen; it contained the band's taking from a nine-date UK tour, as well as a laptop, GoPro camera and other equipment. In total, they estimate that the cash and equipment was worth somewhere between €8,000 and €9,000.
While the lads ensure the show goes on in Italy, back home fans and supporters were rallying round immediately, and a GoFundMe is set up to raise money to offset the awful loss - you can donate to the effort at [link]gofundme.com/7guekpck[/link]. If ever there was a time to yell 'Up The Parish' and do what you can, it's now!
The quintet have checked in from Padova, in a video you can check out below.
