The band will release 'Julian' on August 26 and perform live at Dublin's Vicar Street on Friday September 30.
Colin Devlin is excited about his band's upcoming performance in hometown Dublin: "Now that we are back in studio working on new material which is being produced by Pierre Marchand, who also did the ‘Waiting' album for The Devlins, it's time for a long-overdue Irish concert”.
The band has not released a studio album since 2004's Waves. “The Devlins' various projects over the last few years just expanded into a full scale solo album, touring and soundtrack work for me, another band & tour for Peter, Guy & Mark and also lengthy stint of doing music for TV for Peter", says Colin.
Colin’s 2009 solo record Democracy Of One was a great success and was featured in major US TV shows like One Tree Hill, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy and The Cleaner, but now he's back with the band recording a brand new studio album.

Their new single, ‘Julian’, will be available for download from August 26th through itunes and through the band’s website [link]www.thedevlins.com[/link]. Team Hot Press had a first listen to the new song and we now look forward to listen to it live on September 30. This is by far the most mature and introspective work that the Devlins have released to date and we suspect the new album is going to be massive.
Tickets for the Vicar Street concert are priced €28.70 and are available from [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link] and Ticketmaster outlets.
