Rock your socks off at the end of the week
The Grand Social is the place to be this Friday night, as four veteran musicians come together as The Creators.
Featuring Rory Wilson (vocals/harmonica), Conor Brady of The Blades fame on guitar, David Gray bass player Robbie Malone and former Frames man Johnny Boyle on drums, the gig will be their first Dublin show.
The outfit is the brainchild of Rory, who cut his teeth with a slew of top notch rhythm and blues acts in the UK such as The Pretty Things, Five Second Shakedown and The Ordinaires. Over the years, Mr Wilson has also guested on harmonica with acts such as The Undertones and Charlotte Hatherly of Ash fame.
Their sound is very much influenced by Eddie Cochrane, Elvis, T Rex, The Stray Cats and legendary Canvey Island outfit Dr Feelgood; in fact, the band will support former Feelgood man Wilko Johnson at his Irish date in The Academy on May 29.
Tickets for this weekend's show are priced at €5 and on sale now.
