The boys from Mullingar have sung a song for Ireland's newest legend.
The Academic have performed their own tribute to Ireland's newest hero, Robbie Brady. Brady scored the winning goal in Ireland's final Euro 2016 Group E match against Italy in Lille on Wednesday night. Brady scored with a header in the 85th minute of the tense game after a cross from Wes Hoolahan.
The result has secured Ireland's place in the last 16 of the tournament. A clash with host nation France awaits us on Sunday afternoon. The Academic have penned a cover of the Ronette's 1964 hit 'Be My Baby'. Since being uploaded to the band's Facebook page yesterday, its been viewed tens of thousands of time. At the time of writing 'Be My Brady' has a total of 180,010 views with over 2,000 shares.
The Academic will play The Marquee in Cork today, June 24, along with Roisín O and The Coronas. Check out the video below.
