The list of top tour earners has been published and the 26 year-old singer Taylor Swift is sitting on top of the pile.

Swift's 1989 tour was the biggest of 2015, pulling in a whopping $61.7 million. Way back in second place, the country star Kenny Chesney generated an estimated $38.1m.

At number three, the veteran English rockers The Rolling Stones accumulated $37.3m. Followed by piano maestro Billy Joel and boy band One Direction, who earned $30.1m and $24.2 million respectively.

Irish rockers U2 make the top 10 list of tour earners. They are at number 8, having generated $21.8 million.
