Fry will present actress Carrie Fisher with her award at the ceremony
Actor Stephen Fry is well known for his portrayal of Irish writer and poet Oscar Wilde in the 1997 film Wilde, a role he comically reprised in the animated A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman in 2012. The link between Fry and Wilde does not end there though, as we've gotten word that the esteemed actor will present at the 10th Annual Oscar Wilde Awards this month.
Fry will be presenting the award to actress Carrie Fisher, famous for portraying Princess Leia in the Star Wars series. Fellow honorees and honorary Irishmen of the evening include entertainer Stephen Colbert and painter Colin Davidson, whose awards will be presented to them by host J.J. Abrams and Garrett Kelleher, respectively.
