Snow Patrol lead singer Gary Lightbody is trying to recover his worn-out voice.
Snow Patrol lead singer Gary Lightbody recently posted a message on the band's official website explaining that his voice was "in pieces" after a performance on 'Good Morning America' Monday, and that two shows in the States had to be postponed.
He revealed he was diagnosed with laryngitis in February before the tour began and was advised to take a week off, but he refused due to the concert schedule.
"All the gigs so far have been a struggle for me," Lightbody confessed. "Unfortunately now I can barely hit any notes. My entire upper range has disappeared into a whisper."

He emphasized that the band has not cancelled the shows, but will add them to the end of the tour. He also apologized to fans who were scheduled to attend those concerts, and noted that the loss of his voice is not the result of partying.
"I’m taking it very seriously," he explained. "The simple fact is that my voice is worn out. I am doing everything possible to get it working again."
