"Unity party" co-sponsored by three Political Action Committees
Two big wins for the Democrats today: the FBI is recommending no charges over Hillary Clinton's email server, and West Coast icon Snoop Dogg will play a Democratic National Convention after-party.
The "unity party" will be co-sponsored by three Political Action Committees. Snoop will be joined by the Grammy-winning band Los Lobos.
Snoop has been an outspoken Clinton supporter. He declared his support on Bravo, an American television network, less than a month after she announced her candidacy.
Meanwhile, the Republican National Convention faced a rough day, with Trump posting what many have deemed an anti-Semitic photo of Clinton. In a now-deleted tweet, the presumptive Republican nominee included a Star of David with the words "Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!" inscribed in it.
Additionally, National Football League superstar Tom Brady will not be attending the Republican convention. Brady has previously called Trump a friend, and the presidential candidate had hoped to bring multiple pro athletes to the convention stage.
