Violin used to teach deprived kids is stolen.
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 04 Jul 2012

The violin belinged to Yuki Nishioka, who teaches 300 deprived Limerick kids for ‘Sing Out With Strings’.
The violin traveled from the far side of the world, leaving Japan with Yuki in 2008. The Hungarian violin is worth some money to Yuki, but it’s priceless to the kids.
It was stolen from the boot of her car in Gouldavoher, Limerick during the night of June 29-30.
It is in a very distinctive green case, and ‘Sing Out With Strings’ ask that you contact Gardaí if you see it.
The Irish Chamber Orchestra’s flagship community engagement programme ‘Sing Out With Strings’ brings free music workshops and tuition to primary schools in Limerick’s Regeneration areas. Limerick Regeneration is a government-funded initiative to address socioeconomic deprivation in key areas of Limerick City.
