The great Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor is no longer on the missing persons list in Chicago...
The world is breathing a sigh of relief, as the news filters through that Sinéad O’Connor has been found, safe and well in Chicago.
An alert had been put out by police in the city, where Sinead is currently living, after the great Irish singer had gone for a bike ride at 6am on Sunday – and failed to return to her base. A caller to the Willmette police asked them to check on Sinéad’s well-being, resulting in a frenzied day of speculation and concern all over the world.
Sinéad had posted a message on Facebook within two hours of going off the radar. It covered ground which had also been at the heart of her concerns last November, when there was also a safety alert.
It is clear from the post that there are serious issues in her personal life, which are troubling the singer greatly. However, Hot Press believes that it is unfair on all concerned, including Sinéad herself, to repeat – as some media have done – the accusations included in what are clearly highly emotionally charged posts about her immediate family. The post was subsequently removed from the singer's Facebook page.
Sinéad also recently made very public accusations against the comedian and talk show host Arsenio Hall, arising from the death of Prince. As a result Hall has filed a $5 million law suit against her.

Friends of the singer have been in touch with one another all day, trying to piece together any information on her possible whereabouts. However, there was little comfort to be found – until now.
Sinéad has made no secret of the mental health issues with which she has had to wrestle over an extended period. Here at Hot Press, we wish her the very best in dealing with those difficulties.
Since she emerged first as a singer, songwriter and performer of unique power, and extraordinary brilliance, we have always held her in the highest esteem as an artist and as a person. Above all now, we hope that she can discover the equilibrium which would enable her to live her life in a way that is free of the kind of anxieties that have assailed her at different times.
