The US based website TMZ has released audio footage, which suggests that the Chicago Police are actively looking for Sinéad O'Connor.
An audio clip released by the US based website, TMZ, last night suggested that the authorities are again on alert in relation to the safety of the great Irish singer, songwriter and performer, Sinéad O'Connor.
The clip indicates that the Chicago police department were informed that Sinead had herself contacted police in Ireland, suggesting that she was in a period of severe mental stress, with the possibility of serious self harm.
The report quoted specific Irish Gardaí as raising concerns – which have been taken seriously by police in Chicago, where Sinéad currently lives. It is no secret that Sinead, one of Ireland's greatest singers, has found situations in her personal life difficult to handle over the past number of years. Personal stresses and pressures have resulted in serious issues with her mental health, about which she has been very public.
We hope that Sinéad is able to deal with the difficulties and challenges that face her now and that she will be able to return to her work as an artist and a performer in the future. Our thoughts, as always are with her, her family and her friends.
