Shania Twain apologises for saying she would've voted for Trump

In a revealing interview, conducted with The Guardian, the Canadian singer appeared to voice support for the US President.

Her full interview was wide-ranging, but the singer attracted criticism after admitting, “I would have voted for [Trump] because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest.

“Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don’t want bullshit. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?”

Following the backlash at her comments, Shania Twain issued an apology, saying they did not represent her values and were not meant to be seen as an endorsement of the President. Read her full response below:
