'Everybody Wants Something More' set to feature in new Stateside show...
Saucy Monky, the Irish American outfit featuring Dubliner Annmarie Cullen and Cynthia Catania, have had a song selected for the new US TV show, Alcatraz, which has been picked up by Fox. 'Everybody Wants Something More', which originally appeared on Saucy Monky's full length 2004 debut album Turbulence, will feature in what is a highly anticipated new series in the US.
In June 2011, Alcatraz (starring Sarah Jones and Jorge Garcia) was one of eight honorees in the Most Exciting New Series category at the 1st Critics' Choice Television Awards, voted by journalists who had seen the pilots. The show is Executive Produced by J.J. Abrams, one of the creators of the hugely successful and critically acclaimed series, Lost.
The series will air on Monday evenings on Fox, premiering with a 2-hour episode at 8:00pm on January 16, before assuming its regular primetime slot at 9:00pm, starting January 23, 2012. It will also begin to air in Australia, Italy, Latin America and the UK in the spring of 2012.

The song is just one in a series of tracks by the songwriting duo that have recently been used on US television. 'Good Day Down', also from Turbulence, featured recently on the show Blue Bloods (starring Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg), while they were also commissioned to write the theme tune for the ABC cooking show Food For Thought With Claire Thomas, which is currently showing.
