Increases for Hector and Colm Hayes are headlines in RTÉ 2fm's JNLR results.
The news of the appointment of Dan Healy as the new station head comes on the heels of an encouraging report for RTÉ 2fm in the latest JNLR figures issued yesterday. The figures confirmed that overall, that 2fm's listenership is stable at 23% weekly reach with 817,000 listeners.
In addition, RTÉ 2fm's peak-time market share is steady at 7.2%. And there were some successes that might be regarded as significant – especially if the upward trend can be continues over the coming three months. In its statement, RTE highlighted the following:
Hector Keeps Her Lit Again is up 4,000 to 128,000 listeners book-on-book and up 6000 year-one-year.
The Colm Hayes Show has gained 5,000 to 136,000 book-on-book.
Tubridy has stabilised with a marginal loss of 1,000 to 159,000 book-on-book.

There are also big gains for Weekenders with Paddy and Ruth, which is up 10,000 book-on-book.
Commenting on today's figures, the managing director of RTÉ Radio, Clare Duignan said: "Last year we had a run of four really encouraging books for 2fm, and these figures are a continuation of that success.
"Hector has gained, Colm has gained, Larry has gained... Ryan Tubridy has had a marginal drop to 159,000, down 1000, and this is a conclusive indication that his listenership is stable and loyal, and there to be grown."
