It's one for cat lovers everywhere!
Following on from their Forbidden Fruit stormer, Run The Jewels treat us to a free download album fashioned from cat sounds.
Yep, you read that right, Meow The Jewels, finds such heavyweights as Dan The Automator, Zola Jesus, Just Blaze, Snoop Dogg, Boots, Alchemist, Zack de la Rocha, Portishead's Geoff Barrow and Massive Attack's 3D contributing to tunes such as 'Meowpurrdy', 'Pawfluffer', 'All Meow Life' and 'Paw Due Respect', which all contain real, honest to God feline samples.
“Did we make the silliest, occasionally most grating possible remix album?" says El-P. "Of course, and we did it for you!"
Needless to say, it's manna from headline writing heaven with 'That Loving Feline', 'Moggy Notions', 'How Soon Is Meow', 'Getting Kitty With It', 'Litter Sweet Symphony' and 'Live Long And Paws Purr' (sorry!) a few to get you started.
Proclaims the digital artwork: "100% of the profit from this very silly album goes to charity."
