It appears that comedy star Rosie O'Donnell is rearing up to play the role of Steve Bannon on popular US Show Saturday Night Live.
Rosie O'Donnell has never been a fan of Trump - and she is quite vocal about her opinions. O'Donnell and Trump have had a long-lasting feud with each other, beginning in 2006 when the comedian mocked him during the US talk show The View, which O'Donnell co-hosted, over the Miss USA Pageant, which Trump co-owned.
More recently, Trump has used vulgar descriptions of O'Donnell, such as a "slob", "fat" and "an unattractive woman both inside and out" when asked about his attitude towards women during a debate back in 2015.
It seems that she will turn her protests into comedy by playing the role of Trump's advisor Steve Bannon alongside Alec Baldwin who plays Trump and Melissa McCarthy who plays Sean Spicer - Trump's press secretary.
These rumours arose after O'Donnell changed her twitter icon to a picture of her face photoshopped on to Bannon's body, and they look eerily similar. She has also tweeted saying she 'will serve' and 'will be ready' if called upon to take up the comedy role.
@calvininsf - i am here to serve - alec has trump - melissa has spice - i would need a few days to prepare - so if called - i will be ready— ROSIE (@Rosie) February 7, 2017
Lots of twitter users also seem to be quite keen on O'Donnell taking up this role:
