He's announced a Hits Tour 2016 stop-off next June in Nowlan Park
That most seasoned of rock stars, Rod Stewart, is Kilkenny-bound next year for a June 25 show in Nolwan Park which staged those incredible Bruce Springsteen shows a couple of summers back.
Recently reunited with his old Faces bandmates, Stewart has spent a whopping six decades making music, during which time he’s gone from R’n’B belter to dapper crooner of American classics and back again.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday October 15, with a new album, Another Country, dropping before the end of the month.
With Hits 2016 the name of the tour, you’re guaranteed to hear the likes of ‘Maggie May’, ‘Sailing’, ‘D’Ya Think I’m Sexy’, 'Baby Jane', 'You're In My Heart', ‘Tonight I’m Yours’, ‘Young Turks’ and a whole lot more.
