Skuzzi Port are the winners of the Loose's support slot competition
Hundreds of bands entered the competition to win a support slot with The Loose and the band have just announced that Skuzzi Port have come out on the top. Skuzzi Port (who RoL have described as being "an inventive young band with an interesting mix of influences and lots of potential") will now open tonight's Christmas show at The Academy. It is the show that Mick Pyro has promised to be ''the most insane Xmas party in the history of human existence'. Should be good.
The band have also promised some very special guests appearances - we can't wait to see who, as in recent years there have been guest performances by Sinead O’Connor, Snow Patrol, Shane McGowan and Damien Dempsey. Gavin Friday turned up last year with Bono!
The lads have just signed an international distribution deal with ADA Global. Latest album Bounce At The Devil will be released internationally in 2011, with the back catalogue to follow in all territories. The band will be supporting the release with several dates and festival appearances around Europe and North America in 2011.
