New material just in time for Croke Park gig, vinyl and digital
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have put the word out that they’re releasing new material – this time in both digital format and a special release vinyl edition.
The 8 regular tracks and ten B-sides will likely be released as stand-alone seven-inch singles. It’s only been about four months since their latest album, ‘I’m With You’.
Flea and Chad announced it via Twitter, and front-man Anthony Kiedis told fans on their US Tour that a “storm of seven inches are coming out over the next six months." The tracks were written on tour, so fans can expect the signature RHCP live flavour to permeate the material.

It is expected that fans will get to hear the new material when RHCP play Croke Park this June 26. Support in the night comes from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and The Vaccines. The Vaccines are also supporting Mumford and Sons this weekend in Galway, so that may indicate what is to come in Croker.
