Anthony Keidis and Chad Smith were asked about the collaborations during an interview.
Anthony Keidis and Chad Smith have ruled out any chance of collaborating with Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl or Guns n' Roses Axle Rose. The two Red Hot Chili Peppers members made the comments during an interview at Germany's Rock am Ring festival.
The host asked both musicians a series of questions to test if they were rock stars. Two of the questions asked were whether or not they had collaborated with Grohl or Rose. Keidis responded to the idea of teaming up with the Foo Fighters frontman by saying, "not going to happen".
"I admire his work, I love his drumming [but] no collaboration". In the later half of the interview drummer Chad Smith was asked if the band would consider using Axle Rose for a release. "I love Guns n' Roses but he seems a little difficult", Smith responded.
The pair also described working with producer Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) on their new album The Getaway. Keidis described Danger Mouse as the one "who is brave enough to say, 'thats not very good. I think it could be better". He went on to say "you want someone to tell you it can be better".
The Getaway will be released on June 17 2016.
