Radiohead have shared a new video for their previously unreleased studio recording of 'Man of War.'
The eerie video, directed by Colin Read, features spliced shots of a nondescript, suited man who is perused, then finally chased, by a group of people. The man spends the video trying to escape, before relenting and deciding to be led away by the boots. The video's paranoia-inducing feel makes it akin to early OK Compute videos like 'Karma Police'.
For a long time considered one of Radiohead’s “lost classics,” along with the band's other new track 'Lift', this song first emerged in set lists supporting The Bends all the way back in 1995. Called “Big Boots” by fans, the song had a few low quality live recordings from that era, until the band recorded it in March 1998, in Abbey Road Studios, for the soundtrack of the 1998 film The Avengers. (See the new music video below this early live recording).

Earlier this year, 22 years after “Man of War” was first played live and 15 after it last was, Radiohead announced it would be one of the unreleased songs to be packaged with Ok Computer’s 20 year anniversary edition, OKNOTOK. It got its first airing on BBC Radio 1 today, along the accompanying live video, which you can listen to here:
