After much online teasing, Radiohead have just premiered new song, ‘Burn The Witch’, which is accompanied by a Trumpton-tastic video. It gets very dark at the end with the Wicker Man-style burning alive of Mr. Troop the town clerk.
Clocking in at a relatively short-sharp 3mins 59secs, it’s bathed in strings and finds Thom Yorke (almost) crooning: “Shoot the messengers/ This is a low-flying panic attack” amongst many other evocative couplets. It’s poppier and more direct than most of their recent output, and bodes well for its parent album, which is likely to drop during the summer.
