The finest new venue in Dublin has the next couple of weeks covered
If you feel like escaping endless Christmas TV repeats and/or your family over the next couple of weeks for some great live music, The Workman’s Club has some shows lined up that should hit the spot.
On Tuesday December 28, The Last Tycoons play their final gig in the capital before they head for Berlin to join up with their new rocrd label. Fresh-faced newcomers Bipolar Empire are playing on Wednesday December 29, gicing punters an early taster of their debut album, set for release early next year.
Then, on Thursday December 30, straight outta Blanchardstown, it’s Stone Motion Heroes. The band have had a great year following a slot at Oxegen and a short appearance on RTE’s The Apprentice and are going to wrap 2010 up in style with what promises to be a stormer of a live gig.
New Year’s Eve is the big one – R.S.A.G. and very special guests will usher in 2011 with some fantastic music, fun and frolics.

Rarely Seen Above Ground aka Jeremy Hickey is putting on one hell of a party this New Year's Eve. He'll be joined by The Holy Roman Army and Cloud Castle (with The Kilo 1977 on the decks in between), taking over the two floors of The Workman's Club to ring in the New Year in style.
Hickey will follow his own gig by drumming live along with The Kilo 1977's DJ set, whilst upstairs DJ Brian Harrington and guest will be bringing the funk.
Tickets are priced at €15 including booking fee and are available now from [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link].
