Clay Class
Second time’s the charm for trendy two-piece.
The second album from the distinctly Marmite-y art punk duo Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn, aka Prinzhorn Dance School, is a lot easier on the ears than their hard to love debut. Featuring a warmer production and better hooks, the quirky, jerky likes of ‘Happy In Bits’ and ‘Seed Crop Harvest’ are hipster catnip and their call and response, bass and drum heavy anthems will appeal to anyone who thinks that you can never have enough bands that reference early Cure and Gang of Four. Occupying the middle ground between minimalist post-pop and Tweenies-esque nursery rhymes PDS may yet prove to be stayers.
