One of the original video nasties features in the new promo from the band.
Dublin rockers Preachers Son have a new single to promote and, ahead of its official November 6 release date, we get the video for 'Johnny's Alright'.
Not your usual moody band promo, the video draws on footage from Abel Ferrara's 1979 cult horror film The Driller Killer>. Banned in the UK from 1984 until 1999, it's one of the most famous 'video nasties' out there. Is it safe for work in this day and age? Most definitely. The only thing you'll be shocked about is the amount of hair spray they were using back then. The nostalgiac clip was edited by Derek Pelly with live footage filmed by Matt Curry.
As for the track, 'Johnny's Alright' was produced by Marc urselli (Who has names like 'Lou Reed' on his CV) with Aerosmith producer Warren Huart chipping in. Check it out below.
