In what may very well be an Irish first, Pierce Turner is planning a nationwide tour of fan's houses.
Explains the avant garde Wexford popster: "The tendency today is to have music performed in bigger and more impersonal venues. This has taken away much of the genuine magic and intimacy of musical performance. Standing at the back of a field watching a dot on a stage a mile away is not what music should be about. I want to bring music back home to people's parlours."
All Turner requires of householders is a tuned piano and enough room for an audience of 15 people.
"With most modern couples too busy with work, children and other demands, I'd like to think of my gigs as house-calls for those for whom going to gigs has become an inconvenience," he concludes.
