Wexford singer Pierce Turner has released a five-track EP, Catch A Wave.
Pierce Turner has released a five-track EP called Catch A Wave, one track of which, ‘Fading Away’, was recently featured on a free Hot Press cover mount CD and has also been the subject of a much imitated John Rokonski video posted on YouTube. The song was written by Turner.
The other four tracks on the mini-album are: ‘Catch A Wave’, the surfer anthem written by Brian Wilson, Cole Porter’s ‘Little One’, ‘Ghost Riders in the Sky’ and ‘Grizzly Bear’.

Turner launched the album in the pub The Sky And The Ground, which was actually named in honour of his 1989 album, in his native town of Wexford. Also present at the launch were Odi, the Leeds-based Irish duo, Mike Odlum, drummer with the legendary Billy Roche Band, Scottish singer-songwriter Gary Stewart, local film critic Stephen Eustace, and writer Jimmy Lacey.
