Due to overwhelming public demand, the Still In Love With You: Philip Lynott Exhibition in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre has been extended by a further six weeks to Sunday June 12
"It’s been a fantastic success," says Hot Press Editor Niall Stokes. "There’s been a steady stream of visitors, many of them coming from overseas, and everyone has been raving about the quality of the exhibition. We set out to create something that Irish people could feel proud of and, judging by the reaction, we have done that.”
The extension means it will still be running when the current Lizzy line-up join Kings Of Leon at Slane Castle (May 28); pay headlining visits to the INEC, Killarney (4) and Royal Theatre, Castlebar (5); and then hook up with Alice Cooper and Def Leppard for Odyssey, Belfast (7) and O2, Dublin (8) arena shows.
Talking of Slane, Lizzy have confirmed it’ll be the last gig they play – for the time being – with Vivian Campbell before he rejoins the Leps who are touring in support of their new Mirrorball live album.
Stepping in for him will be Richard Fortus, the former Psychedelic Fur and current Guns N’ Roses guitarist.

“Richard is a true pro who blew me away the first time I heard him play,” Scott Gorham says of their first encounter in Chicago. “We literally ran through the songs once in soundcheck and Richard was spot on. He will make a great addition to the band and we look forward to having him on the road with us.”
Finally, a real curio has surfaced on Huey Lewis' Facebook page. It’s a 1985 song called ‘Still Alive’ that Huey Lewis & The News recorded with Phil Lynott and which was recently discovered by News guitarist Johnny Cola while going through an old box of cassettes.
