Next up, we have 'Remembering Philip: An Evening with Philomena Lynott'.
Hot Press, in association with Radio Nova, host the unique event in Dublin’s Fallon & Byrne this Friday August 22, to celebrate Ireland’s original rock icon.
Some of Ireland’s most top artists will perform their favourite Philo songs on the night, to honour the Thin Lizzy frontman, including singer-songwriter Gavin James, David Geraghty (Join Me In The Pines / Bell X1) and Julie Feeney, who will appear at the event ahead of her four New York shows in September. The brilliant Prima Quartet will also play on the night, giving Lynott's timeless music a new twist.
The dinner, which takes place just two days after what would have been Philo’s 65th birthday, will also include a very special curated Q&A with Philomena Lynott.
'Remembering Philip' is part of the the Philip Lynott pledge initiative, which will also see Hot Press produce two lavish limited-edition books. Philip Lynott: Still In Love With You – The Life and Music of Ireland’s Legendary Rock Icon, which will draw from a remarkable collection of personal archive material, has now gone into the production cycle, with writing and designing currently taking place. They will be produced as a Luxury A4 Hardback Book and a Deluxe Large-Format Super Book – and can be still be ordered from [link]pledgemusic.com/philiplynott[/link] before the production cycle ends!
