Peter Kay to play 3Arena

"A lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can't wait to get back up on stage," he says.

It's time to dust down those "cheesecake?!" one-liners as Peter Kay announces his first stand-up tour in eight years.

That's the good news; the bad is that you're going to have to wait until February 1 & 2, 2019 to catch Farnworth's finest in Dublin's 3Arena. Tickets priced from €45 go on sale on Sunday November 19 at 10am and won't be hanging around for long.

Prior to that he pays January 13 & 14 visits to Belfast's SSE Arena.

"I really miss it," he says of his prolonged live absence. "I know how lucky I am to be making television series and have really loved these past few years working on Car Share but I miss doing stand-up. As terrifying as it is, when it works there's nothing more fun and exciting. Plus, a lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can't wait to get back up on stage."
