Dublin-based songwriter Paddy Hanna returns this week with his new single ‘Bad Boys’, a baroque cut of shimmering, intelligent pop.
Following 2015’s double-whammy of ‘Austria’ and ‘Underprotected’, the new single ‘Bad Boys’ finds Paddy on his most effortlessly charming form to date. “We all have one of those in our life,” Paddy jokes of the ‘Bad Boys’ the track takes its title from.
Paddy will take part in this year's Hard Working Class Heroes Festival before touring with Michah P. Hinson in October.
2018 will see the release of Hanna’s sophomore album via Strange Brew Records, produced by his new collaborator Daniel Fox.
Following on from the Scott Walker-esc pomp of Austria and Underprotected, Fox has added a whole new orchestral element to his music, along with contributions from members of Girl Band, Saint Sister, Tandem Felix, Cian Nugent and the Cosmos and the Trinity Orchestra.
Hanna will be on tour of Ireland from October through December with a live band featuring Adam Faulkner and Daniel Fox (Girl Band), along with guitarist Paddy Ormond (Jetsetter/Postcard Versions).
Here's a list of his tour dates:
Sep 29th Hard Working Class Heroes – The Workman’s Club (Full band show)
