The prince of darkness was honoured by his home city yesterday.
Ozzy Osbourne has had a tram named after him in his home town of Birmingham. The newly named tram unit was unveiled at a ceremony yesterday.
Unit no. 37 was chosen to bear the name of Birmingham's most famous heavy metal star with the Osbourne himself attending the naming ceremony in the city centre. He also revealed the name by peeling off a sticker covering his logo.
When speaking at the ceremony Osbourne was asked about his current tour with Black Sabbath. Dubbed 'The End' he confirmed it to definitely be exactly that. "It will absolutely be the final tour". Ozzy then hoped aboard the tram for a quick journey down the line while being chased by fans.
Osbourne has had a long and successful career as both a solo artist and the front man of Black Sabbath including the well known 'Crazy Train' track. He and estranged wife Sharon Osbourne have recently announced that they have split up after 34 years of marriage.
