We've also got the first of the Day Two live action
Afternoon all, we're live again from the Hot Press Signing Tent at Oxegen. It's still disgustingly early in the day, but the site is already jammers! First, a few changes to the times for today's signings, which are as follows:
3.45pm Bombay Bicycle Club
4pm Wild Beasts
4.30pm 3OH!3
5pm Ash
6pm Cathy Davey
We may have another surprise addition, so keep checking hotpress.com and our special Oxegen Twitter.
Don't forget we're here with our friends from drinkaware.ie who've got free water, the magical ability to re-charge your mobile and the chance to have your picture taken and enter a special competition. More on that anon!
In case you haven't noticed we've just put up our first photo galleries from Day One, which include some particularly ace photos of Jigga and Arcade Fire. More exclusive shots as the day unfurls.
Our band watching started at 2 o'clock sharp in the Dance Arena where local heroes Amasis went from 0 to 500 punters in half a song! We've said it before and we'll say it again, Nofe Liberty is a star waiting to happen and the spangliest person on site by a country mile. They've got the big electro beats and, more importantly, the killer hooks to give the likes of Lady Gaga, Keisha and Britney a serious run for their money in the months to come.
Meanwhile over on the Main Stage, The Stranglers were looking disgustingly sprightly for a band who've been around for over 30 years. Also aging well are tunes like 'Peaches' – in case your wondering, their foreskins are still peeling - 'Always The Sun' (oh the irony!) and 'Golden Brown', which remains the cheeriest song about heroin addiction ever written.
Over at the Red Bull Academy, Jenna Toro has suped up her act since last year, sounding more electro maven than folky songstress. The Irish lass has clearly taken a leaf out of Ellie Goulding's book and turned her breathy vocal stylings to a more powerful, drum-led sound, even pounding on her own snare Florence-style.
On the Vodafone Stage, giddy rockers Keywest recalled The Script with their melodic power rock while Belfast boys Panama Kings kept it indie with some spirited punk swagger over on the Green Spheres Stage.
May we respectfully suggest you get your backsides down here!
