Take Me Home tops the Irish Album Chart.
It was never really in doubt. The absolutely massive One Direction have gone straight in at No. 1 on the Irish Album Chart this week with their new Take Me Home.
Since coming third on The X Factor the five-strong boy band (including Mullingar's own Niall Horan) have seen their popularity skyrocket on both sides of the Atlantic and sales this week of their sophomore effort gives us confirmation of the scale of their success.
Emile Sande's Our Version Of Events climbs from No. 3 to the second spot, whilst the new, superbly-titled Rolling Stones' compilation, GRRR! is another new entry at No. 3.
It means last week's leader takes a small tumble. Current HP cover star Robbie Williams sees his Take The Crown sat at No. 4 on its second week in the charts.
The new Paradise Edition of Lana Del Rey's Born To Die, which gives fans a whole EP's worth of new material, has done the business for the star and propelled her debut back up the charts to round off the Top 5.

Just one space below, Rod Stewart's festive album Merry Christmas, Baby makes its bow. Mumford & Sons, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris and Ed Sheeran round off the Top 10, whilst the second part of Green Day's new trilogy, ¡DOS!, only manages a No. 11 entry.
Meanwhile, over on the Indie Chart, Adele's 21 continues its empirical dominance at the top, whilst Alt J's Mercury success has their An Awesome Wave at No. 2. There's a new entry from Paddy Casey, too. His The Secret Life Of arrives at No. 5.
