Alt-pop duo to drop Ultralife next week
London-based duo, Oh Wonder, will release their next album, Ultralife, on July 14. Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West took an unconventional approach to their self-titled first album, releasing a song a month and eventually compiling the tunes together. The origins of Oh Wonder are equally unassuming — the group didn’t even picture themselves starting out as a band. “We’ve never pushed this project,” says Vander Gucht. “It has always felt like it’s pulling us along. We initially put our songs on Soundcloud hoping to pitch them to other artists. What happened next surprised us as much as anyone.” Even the upcoming sophomore album was recorded in their own home studio in Brockley, and completely self-produced by Vander Gucht and West.

The alt-pop group have already begun introducing the album through releases of several singles. Oh Wonder dropped their newest single, 'High On Humans' on 29 June, complete with a fun, quirky music video.
