The ex-Oasis singer took to Twitter on Sunday night to reveal the name of the first single from his eagerly awaited album and, in the process, also decided to have yet another pop at his brother Noel.
After revealing that his first single will be entitled 'Not For Sale', Liam Gallagher vowed to sing Oasis songs "bigger and better" than his brother when he hits the road this summer to go on tour to promote the new album, which is entitled 'As You Were'.
In an obvious jibe at Noel, Liam Gallagher wrote: "To all you NG fanboys, I can and will sing any song he wrote bigger and better than him even if I was kicked in the bollocks by a wood pigeon."
In another attack on his brother, he then promised to sing 'Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and ‘Rockin Chair' during his solo concerts because it's "about time they were done proper". His exact words were:"Opening with Don't look back in anger ending with Rocking chair bout time they were done proper LG not for sale."
He added: "To the people who dig what I'm about I know you'll freak out as its proper to the people who hate what I'm about I hope it sends you mad LG."
And on 19 March, he also described Noel as a "fake", saying: "See the fake bombing about in his stone island again coz he's in manc (Manchester) he'll be back in his Prada 1st thing tmorrow LG X."
One thing's for sure: we haven't heard the last of this long-running feud between the two brothers...
While a full tour has yet to be announced, Liam Gallagher will play the following dates during the summer:
EXIT Festival, Serbia (July 6)
Benicàssim, Spain (July 13-17)
Lollapalooza Paris, France (July 22-23)
