Is An Oasis Reunion On The Cards? "God, no," says Liam Gallagher

Oasis fans began to speculate earlier this week that a reunion could be on in 2018 after Liam Gallagher confirmed in a tweet that he had patched up his differences with brother, Noel.

But Liam has now put the speculation to bed. "God no, no. Oasis isn’t getting back together, not at all. I’m doing my thing, [Noel’s] doing his thing and that is the end of it," he told Australian newspaper The Age

“It’s still the same – it’s just that I’ve called a truce on it and he’s called a truce on it and no more slagging.”

The truce came about because of "the season of goodwill and all that", he added.

Liam “reached out” to his older brother to settle their lengthy feud.

Breaking the news earlier this week to his two million followers he tweeted: “I wanna say Happy Xmas to team NG it’s been a great year thanks for everything looking forward to seeing you tomorrow AS YOU WERE LG x (sic).”

Asked by a fan if he will have a meltdown if Noel doesn’t get in touch, he replied: “He's already reached out.”

He then added: “We’re all good again.”

Liam's tweets come after he admitted in an interview with Fault that he missed his brother, saying: “I don’t want to be solo. I don’t want to do it on my own – I’m not a guitar player or a prolific songwriter.

“I miss my brother the way he was back then and I miss singing those great songs that we all made great.”

The siblings have more commonly been at each other's throats after they fell out in 2009 when Oasis split, with their rivalry reaching new heights this year after they both released solo albums.

It's been almost a decade since the band split, but we reported earlier this year how Liam was still feeling the pain and reckons he could "need to go and see someone about it".

"I’m still deeply fucking disturbed and still deeply grieving for that band," Liam Gallagher admitted.

“I know it’s been nine years or however long it is, and I know people go, ‘Yeah, but get over it.’ But no. I won’t fucking get over it. Maybe I need to go and see someone about it," he confesses.

"The Ready Brek glow was there, and now it’s not. It was like part of my fucking system and soul was ripped and fucking just fucked off to the side.”

He made the revelation in an interview with NME. "That fucking band meant everything to me. Everything. It’s in my veins. It’s not about the money,” Gallagher said.
