Band will tour Dublin schools in conjunction with mental health charities
The Original Rudeboys have planned a tour of schools in their home county, where they will speak alongside representatives of mental health charities Console and Walk In My Shoes.
The band, who have a close interest in mental health issues since the loss of a close friend in 2009, will be discussing their career, as well as the ups and downs of life in the music business.
Exlaining the importance of the project, Rudeboy Neddy Arkins said, “Our mental health is so important. Young people need to talk more, to ask for help early, to know the warning signs. We all have good and bad days but if there’s a time when we find it hard to cope, we need to remember we’re never alone.”
Along with this, the band's next single, 'Never Alone', will be in aid of the two charities, with the proceeds going directly towards the wonderful work they do.
