Norman Jay MBE and Jerry Dammers lead the charge for the party on the edge of the world
The Kerry coastline provides Valentia Isle Festival with one the finest backdrops one could possibly imagine, and the musical offerings are shaping up to match, as the festival unveils the first group of acts lined up for July's spectacular.
Leading the way is legendary DJ - and Member of the British Empire, dontcha know - Norman Jay. He'll be joined by The Specials' Jerry Dammer, and highly rated London due The Correspondents.
There's plenty of home-grown talent headed west too, including R.S.A.G., King Kong Company and Young Wonder. The weekend will also see appearances from The Pale, The Frank & Walters, John Blek & The Rats, Jet Li, Calibre, The Hip Neck Blues Collective, The Eskies, The Vincents, My Tribe Your Tribe and Natty Wailer.
With the promise of plenty more announcements to come - and all manner of art, foodie and family treats too - it's shaping up to be one heck of a hooley. Tickets for the July 10-12 event are on sale now.
