Noel Gallagher and Gary Lightbody's lot will tour the states together
Snow Patrol and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are planning a double-headlining run round the States.
Kicking off on October 23 in the Portland Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and finishing up at the Houston Bayou Music Center on November 9, it’s not a bill that impresses Liam Gallagher who tweets: “Snore Patrol? Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Smurfs? Who said rock ‘n’ roll is dead?”
With regards to his own activities, Liam is to perform ‘Wonderwall’ at the Olympic closing ceremony. There’s also talk, yawn, of the Spice Girls getting back together for another last hurrah.
Finally on the ex-Oasis front, Bonehead has put together a new outfit, Parlour Flames, with Salford singer-songwriter Vinny Peculiar. An album and accompanying tour are due in November.
