Noel Gallagher joined Albarn on vocals for the Gorillaz 'Dare' and 'Brand New Cadillac' by The Clash.
For the second time in two years Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn performed together on stage. 2013 saw Gallagher, Albarn, Graham Coxon and Paul Weller perform a cover of Blur's 'Tender' at the Royal Albert Hall as part of a series of concerts in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
There has been speculation about Albarn and Gallagher recording together recently but by all accounts it would not be anytime soon. Gallagher is currently busy touring his second album Chasing Yesterday and Albarn is busy recording a new Gorillaz album. The pair performed two songs last night and were joined by Chrissie Hynde, Zak Starkey and a host of other musicians for their covers of the Gorilaz 'Dare' and The Clashes 'Brand New Cadillac'.
Albarn formed the supergroup to celebrate Paul Simonon's 60th birthday. Simonon has collaborated with Albarn in the past, they released an album in 2007 under the name The Good, The Bad and The Queen. Simonon also performed on the Gorillaz 2010 album 'Plastic Beach' along with former clash bandmate Mick Jones.
