If ever there was an illustration of the country crooner's popularity, it's this; even the mega-selling international might of the Canadian hip-hop superstar isn't enough to claim No. 1
Nathan Carter has beaten Drake in a head-to-head for the top spot in the Irish album charts.
The Canadian superstar released his much anticipated Views last week, and while it will likely take top spot across most of the globe, he'll have to be content with No. 2 here in Ireland, as the Liverpool-born country crooner sees Stayin' Up All Night become his third chart-topper. What's more, the excitement has booted his previous output too; last year's Beautiful Life leaps 17 places to land in fifth.
Last week's top dog – Beyonce's Lemonade – falls to No. 3, and Walking On Cars remain immovable at No. 4 as a host of familiar names make up the rest of the top ten. Adele, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran and Little Mix all make it in, while those celebrating the life of Prince help his Ultimate compilation to No. 8.
