Plus, live dates and a free download
Offaly troubadour Mundy has unveiled details of his upcoming fifth album Shuffle, a "love song to his favourite American songwriters". The album, which is out on Friday May 13 (unlucky for some...) features covers of Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Lucinda William and Neil Young among others and was recorded over the space of a year. Of the record Mundy says, “This record was a pleasure to make and I wanna thank all of the great writers of these songs for inspiring me, leading me and guiding me in my career through darkness and light.”
Mr.Enright has been relatively quiet since 2009's Strawberry Blood but will surely be trawling the festival circuit this summer, having already been confirmed for Electric Picnic and the Buncrana Music Festival so far, along with an upcoming MayDay Acoustic Tour. He'll be joined by Texas guests Will Sexton and Charlie Faye for four dates, starting at Kavanagh's, Portlaoise on May 2 before heading to The White Horse, Ballincollig on May 5 and De Barra's, Clonakilty the following night and finally Dolans, Limerick on May 7.
The ever-generous singer is also giving his first single from the album away for free download. To get the download of 'It's A Wonderful Lie' just subscribe to the newsletter on his official website here.
