The folk rock group curates a stellar lineup for 16 July at Marlay Park.
After 2015’s Wilder Mind album, Mumford & Sons have been busy. Recently, the band flew out to Vancouver to support U2 on their Joshua Tree world tour. Now, the British band is coming to Dublin, having curated the lineup for Sunday at Longitude. Some of the acts will include Baaba Maal, Glass Animals, The Very Best, Leon Bridges, Milky Chance and Lucy Rose.
.
In an official statement explaining their new stopover concept, the band said, “This collaboration with Latitude and Longitude is one of the most exciting things we’re doing this year. Ever since we started working on Gentlemen of The Road Stopovers we’ve really enjoyed curating lineups and sharing not only our own music but also sharing music of artists who we love and are listening to regularly. It’s almost like creating a mix tape for a best friend, but instead it’s a whole day of music, across multiple stages, with 40,000 people!”
The Gentleman Of The Road events are made to promote a sense of community between artists, encouraging them to stick around to watch the other acts and even potentially collaborate.
