Brilliant Things songsmith Greg French penned the entry with the Hot Press MIX course student.
The 60th Eurovision Song contest takes place in Austria this May and now we know who will be representing Ireland.
Molly Sterling, a 16-year-old from Nenagh, Tipperary, was selected on The Late Late Show last Friday. Her song is entitled 'Playing With Numbers' (see it below) and was co-written with Greg French, who was previously one half of synth-pop duo The Brilliant Things with Marie-Ann Hughes.
Sterling is a self-taught pianist who cites Stevie Nicks as a major influence and attends the Hot Press MIX course – so a big "congratulations" from everyone at Team HP! She currently attends St. Andrew's in Blackrock, County Dublin. Having won the combined public and jury vote, she will now compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision on Saturday May 23.
