With FIVE new entries in the Top 5, they fend off competition from Bjork, Marilyn Manson and more.
All change at the businesss end of the Irish Indie Chart this week, as 2015 finally starts to deliver the musical goods.
Top of the illustrious heap are The Waterboys. We brought you an exclusive stream of their Modern Blues last week and you clearly liked what you heard – it debuts at No. 1.
Just below Mike Scott's merrymen is Bjork. The rush-released Vulnicura finds the Icelandic talent on top form.
In third position are Scottish kings of sensitive, literate indie Belle & Sebastian. Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance is the band's ninth studio album.
What A Terrible... What A Beautiful World by The Decemberists is No. 4, while Marilyn Manson's The Pale Emperor rounds off the Top 5.
In terms of other new entries, Sleater-Kinney see their No Cities To Love enter at No. 7, Enter Shikari return with The Mindsweep at No. 12 and Above & Beyond's We Are All We Need is at No. 15.
