The show ran for just one season.
American broadcaster HBO has announced it is cancelling the music show, Vinyl. The show was set in the music scene of 1970's New York and was the brainchild of director Martin Scorsese and The Rolling Stones' member Mick Jagger.
HBO had originally ordered a second season of the show after just one episode had aired. It had received poor reviews and ratings during its first season with criticisms mainly focused on the portrayal of real life musicians such as members of Led Zeppelin and David Bowie.
The show's stars Ray Romano and Olivia Wilde has since spoken out on the cancellation. Romano said he "was so happy to have a role like that and to be able to go to those places. I’ve never had an opportunity like that before". Wilde took to Twitter to remember her time on the show.
Thanks for all the kind words about Vinyl, my friends. We had a BLAST, and made something special. Party on. ❤️
