The Boardwalk Empire star and Oscar nominee will be over this Friday.
Underway since the weekend and running until May 24, the International Literature Festival Dublin will be celebrating WB Yeats' 150th birthday this Friday with the star-studded Bodies That Can Never Tire.
The May 22 event takes place from 6pm in Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre, with proceeds going to Temple Street.
It has been announced that acclaimed American actor Michael Shannon (Oscar nominated for Revolutionary Road, famed for Boardwalk Empire and General Zod in Man Of Steel) will contribute spoken word on the evening.
Actors Clark Middleton (Birdman, Kill Bill) Séan Doyle (Fair City), Aoife Duffin (What Richard Did, Moone Boy), Aoibhin Garrihy (Fair City, The Fall), Lorcan Cranitch (King Lear, The Dead at the Abbey) and Maeve Fitzgerald (Pride and Prejudice at the Gate) will feature in a specially commissioned piece interwoven with music, poetry and spoken word. Joining Shannon in the latter will be Patrick McCabe (shortlisted twice for the Booker Prize, for The Butcher Boy and Breakfast on Pluto, Katie Donovan (Rootling: New & Selected Poems), Deirdre Kinahan (playwright whose new play Spinning opened at the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2014), composer Tom Lane, Songs in the Key of D choir, folk trio The Evertides and hip hop artist Lethal Dialect.
