Having spent the weekend releasing a series of music videos for their new album Hardwired...To Self-Destruct, Metallica's publicity machine has seen their 10th album head straight to the top of the Irish Charts on its opening week.
Little Mix's new album Glory Days comes in at No. 2, as the girl band's 'Shout Out to my Ex' also stays high in the Singles Chart. Bruno Mars also sets his sights on the No. 1 spot with his new album 24k Magic debuting at No. 4. The last time the American singer topped the Irish charts was back in 2012 for his debut album Doo-Wop & Hooligans.
Leonard Cohen remains high up in the top 10 with two albums, You Want It Darker and Great Hits. (Hot Press ' special collector's issue on Cohen is out now).

Elsewhere in the charts, Joe Dolan & RTE Concert Orchestra stay high with Orchestrated: Vol. 1 and Emeli Sande's Long Live the Angels drops out of the top 10 in only its second week.
